ABSOLUTE CHILL Edp

Atralia Absolute Chill 100ml: What It Smells Like

Atralia Absolute Chill is a 100ml eau de parfum that opens cold and finishes dry. Lemon, orange, mint and blackcurrant give it an icy citrus start, white tea and basil follow with coriander, and musk, moss and a warm ambergris note close it. Atralia sells it as unisex.

The cold part is real but it is the first act, not the whole fragrance. Knowing that before you buy is the difference between liking this one and feeling misled by the name.

The short version

  • What it is: A 100ml eau de parfum, worn by men and women.
  • Smells like: Cold citrus and mint first, then green tea and herbs, then dry mossy musk.
  • Character: Sharp and refreshing early, calm and dry later.
  • Wear it: Hot weather, daytime, work, the gym bag, travel.
  • Be aware: The icy opening fades well before the rest of it does.

Atralia ABSOLUTE CHILL Fragrance Notes:

  • Top Notes: Mint, Orange, Lemon, Black currant.
  • Middle Notes: White Tea, Basil, Coriander.
  • Base Notes: Musk, Ambergris, Moss.

Ten notes, and the shape of the list tells the story. Everything cold is in the top, everything dry and green is underneath, and there is nothing sweet anywhere in it.

Worth knowing about two of them. White tea is not tea as a drink, it is a soft, dry, faintly bitter note used to make a fragrance feel calm. Ambergris here is the warm, slightly salty skin note that makes a fresh fragrance sit closer and last longer than citrus alone ever could.

What Atralia Absolute Chill smells like

The opening is the reason people buy it. Lemon and orange hit first, bright and juicy rather than sour, and mint arrives immediately behind them with a genuine cooling effect that reads almost like menthol on the skin.

Blackcurrant sits in that opening too, and it is doing something clever. Its tart, slightly green sharpness stops the citrus from smelling like a cleaning product, which is the usual failing of lemon and mint together.

The middle calms everything down. White tea is soft, dry and faintly bitter, basil adds a green aromatic edge, and coriander brings a warm peppery note that takes the chill off. This is where Atralia Absolute Chill stops being cold and becomes something quieter.

The finish is dry rather than fresh. Moss gives an earthy, slightly damp greenness, musk softens it, and a warm ambergris note adds a faintly salty skin-like warmth underneath. It ends close to the body and clean.

Why Atralia Absolute Chill does not stay icy

Because mint is a top note and nothing underneath it is cold. Mint, lemon and orange are all light materials that burn off quickly, and what sits below them is tea, moss and musk, which are dry and warm rather than refreshing.

That is normal construction rather than a flaw. No fragrance can hold a menthol effect for hours, and the ones that claim to are relying on the first ten minutes to sell the bottle. Atralia Absolute Chill is at least honest about where it goes: the tea and moss are listed plainly for anyone who reads the notes.

What it means in practice is that this is two fragrances in one wearing. Spray it and you get cold citrus. An hour later you have a dry green tea and moss scent that is perfectly pleasant but no longer cooling. Buy it for both halves, not just the first.

Absolute Chill or Eden Chic?

Both are the fresh end of the Atralia range and both suit work and warm weather, so this is the choice most people will face. The difference is citrus against soap.

Atralia Absolute Chill is the sharper one. Lemon, mint and blackcurrant make it genuinely refreshing on a hot day, and the moss and tea underneath keep it dry rather than clean-smelling.

Eden Chic is the smoother one, built on soapy white flowers and cedar. It reads as grooming rather than refreshment, which makes it the better choice for a formal office or a meeting.

Pick Absolute Chill for heat and energy, Eden Chic for looking tidy. They do not overlap as much as the word fresh suggests.

Who should buy Atralia Absolute Chill, and who should not

Buy it if you want a hot weather fragrance that is not sweet and not aquatic. The citrus and mint opening is genuinely cooling, and the dry green finish means it does not turn heavy as the day goes on.

It also makes a sensible everyday bottle. Nothing in it is challenging, it suits work and the gym equally, and a 100ml bottle of something this easy to wear gets used rather than sitting on a shelf.

Do not buy it if you want the cold effect all day. The mint sits at the very top of the composition and behaves accordingly, and if an all-day icy fragrance is what you are after, no fragrance built this way will give you that.

Skip it too if you dislike green or mossy notes. Once the citrus goes, moss and tea are what remain, and that dry earthy quality is the fragrance you will be wearing for most of the time you have it on.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about shipping, authenticity, and caring for your fragrance.

01 What does Atralia Absolute Chill smell like?
Cold lemon, orange and mint with tart blackcurrant, settling into white tea, basil and coriander, and finishing on dry moss, musk and a warm ambergris note.
02 Does the cooling effect in Atralia Absolute Chill last?
No. The cooling comes from mint, which sits up in the top notes and burns off early. What stays behind is dry, green and tea-like rather than cold.
03 What season suits Atralia Absolute Chill?
Spring and summer. Citrus, mint and moss all behave well in heat, and the fragrance is too light to carry a cold evening.
