Cold air kills weak fragrances. Moreover, the citrus and fresh compositions that worked in summer barely register below 5°C. Winter demands weight. It demands projection. Oud, incense, leather, dark spices, heavy amber, and smoke were built for cold air. The colder it gets, the better they perform. Consequently, the compositions that felt too strong in July become perfect in January.
