Lattafa Creative Art: The Spicy Amber That Three Houses Released

Lattafa Creative Art is a spicy amber from the Pride line. Citrus and peppery resin open it, cumin and saffron run through the middle, and it settles on vanilla, benzoin and frankincense. Bright and sharp at the start, warm and resinous for the rest of the day.

Olibanum is frankincense under its older name, the same resin from the same tree. That matters here, because the fragrances this one resembles list it both ways, which makes their pyramids look further apart on paper than they really are.

What does Lattafa Creative Art smell like?

Lattafa Creative Art opens bright and sharp at once. Lemon and bergamot do the lifting, cardamom adds a cool spice, and elemi cuts through with a lemon-pepper resin. We explained what elemi is in the Hamdan The Sheikh article, and it does the same job here.

The heart of Lattafa Creative Art is where opinion splits. Cumin sits next to saffron and patchouli, warm and faintly human, with geranium giving a green rosy lift and jasmine softening the edges. Cumin is the material that decides whether this fragrance is for you.

The base is benzoin, vanilla, amber and frankincense: sweet, balsamic and a little dusty, with dry smoke keeping the sugar in check. Lattafa Creative Art spends most of its life warm and resinous rather than spicy.

Creative Art, Ramad Oriental and Terra: one pyramid, three houses

Creative Art is one of three fragrances released inside about a year carrying what is effectively the same published pyramid.

Ramad Oriental by Arabiyat Prestige, from 2025, lists cardamom, elemi, pepper, bergamot and lemon; then patchouli, saffron, cumin, geranium and jasmine; then olibanum, opoponax, benzoin, vanilla and amber. Set that beside the list above and the only material that differs is opoponax.

Terra by Rayhaan, also 2025, opens on the same five notes. It then adds coriander, anise, wormwood, rose and orange blossom to the heart, and oud, labdanum, birch, musk, ambergris and maltol to the base. Same skeleton, more layers on top of it.

So anyone who smelled one of these and recognised the others was not imagining it. On paper this is one composition published three times, by three houses, within roughly twelve months.

Do identical note lists mean identical fragrances?

No, and the difference matters before you decide Creative Art is already on your shelf.

A note list names materials, not amounts. Two perfumers handed the same fourteen notes can produce fragrances that smell related but never interchangeable, because proportion decides everything: how much cumin, how much vanilla, which grade of patchouli.

Note lists are marketing documents rather than formulas. Houses shorten them, rename materials, and leave synthetics out altogether. The olibanum and frankincense overlap here is one example of the same thing wearing two names.

Expect these three to sit in the same lane: clearly related, different in balance. Terra carries the most material on paper and should read the heaviest and sweetest of them. The other two are the leaner pair.

How long does Lattafa Creative Art last, and when should you wear it?

In Lattafa Creative Art, benzoin, amber, vanilla, patchouli and frankincense are all resinous, slow materials, and they make up the entire base. Only the citrus moves quickly, which is why the spice arrives within minutes.

Autumn and winter suit Lattafa Creative Art best, along with cool evenings. Heat exaggerates cumin more than any other note here, which is worth knowing before wearing it in July.

One or two sprays. Spicy amber compositions grow fast on warm skin, and this one has no shortage of material to grow with.

Who should buy Lattafa Creative Art, and who should skip it?

Buy Lattafa Creative Art if you want a spicy amber with a citrus opening and you do not already own one of its relatives. It works as unisex: nothing in cardamom, resin and vanilla is gendered, though the cumin pushes it slightly masculine in European terms.

Skip it too if Ramad Oriental or Rayhaan Terra is already on your shelf, because you would be buying a variation rather than a new fragrance. Spend the money on something that does a different job.
