Rasasi Hawas Sapphire 100ml: The Notes, and What the FBFragrances Edition Actually Is

Hawas Sapphire is a 2026 eau de parfum from Rasasi, sold in 100ml and worn by men and women. Bergamot, blackcurrant and guava open it. Orange blossom and sandalwood sit in the heart. Musk, tonka bean and ambergris make up the base.

It also arrives with a complication. Half the shops selling it call it something else. The reason is a collaboration that Rasasi has left off its own product page.

Hawas Sapphire: the short version

  • What it is: A 2026 Rasasi eau de parfum, 100ml, fruity and citrus-led rather than the usual Hawas aquatic.
  • Also listed as: Hawas Sapphire X FBFragrances Edition. Same fragrance.
  • Smells like: Tart guava and blackcurrant over orange blossom, landing on tonka and a warm musky base.
  • Notes verified from: Rasasi’s own store, matching the Fragrantica entry note for note.
  • The collaboration: Reported by trade press in July 2026, visible on retailer packaging, absent from Rasasi’s own listing.

Rasasi HAWAS SAPPHIRE

 Fragrance Notes:

  • Top Notes: Guava, Blackcurrant, Bergamot.
  • Middle Notes: Orange Blossom, Sandalwood.
  • Base Notes: Musk, Tonka Bean, Ambergris.

Rasasi publishes this list and the Fragrantica entry matches it exactly. One UK retailer drops ambergris from the base, which is a transcription slip on their end rather than a different formula.

The FBFragrances edition, and why listings disagree

Rasasi developed Hawas Sapphire with FB Fragrances, a fragrance reviewer and influencer. Trade press reported it in July 2026 and said the project ran for more than a year. Retailers across the UK, Germany and the United States carry it as the FBFragrances Edition.

Rasasi’s own product page says none of this. It lists the fragrance plainly, with no partner named anywhere on it.

For a buyer the practical answer is simple. There is one fragrance, one 100ml bottle and one formula. The FBFragrances wording simply credits the collaboration at retail. It does not signal a separate or upgraded version, so a shop listing plain Hawas Sapphire has the same bottle.

One practical consequence follows. Because two names circulate, the same bottle can appear twice in a marketplace search at two different prices, so check both before buying.

One claim travels with it that is worth separating out. The influencer has said the scent copies nothing and is an original composition. That is his statement rather than the brand’s, and no note list can confirm or disprove it either way.

What Hawas Sapphire smells like

The opening is where Hawas Sapphire separates itself. Guava and blackcurrant give a tart, slightly sharp fruit. It reads fresher and more sour than the sweet red berry most Gulf releases lead with. Bergamot keeps it bright rather than syrupy.

Orange blossom carries the middle and softens the fruit into something floral and clean. Sandalwood underneath it stops the whole thing from staying thin.

The base is where Hawas Sapphire turns conventional. Tonka bean brings a sweet almond warmth, musk rounds it, and the ambery material gives that skin-close finish people describe as clean rather than heavy. Fruity on top, comfortable underneath.

About that ambergris

Ambergris is the most misunderstood word on any note list. Hawas Sapphire is a good place to explain it, because the answer applies to almost every bottle you own.

Real ambergris forms inside sperm whales, which expel it at sea. It floats and oxidises for years before washing up, and it is genuinely rare. One three kilogram piece found in England carried a valuation above a hundred thousand euros. That puts it well clear of silver by weight.

Nothing at this price contains it, Hawas Sapphire included. The industry uses the ambroxide family instead, best known under the name Ambroxan. Perfumers make that material from sclareol, a compound taken from clary sage. A garden herb stands in for the whale.

So ambergris on this box names a smell, not an ingredient: dry, warm, slightly mineral, sitting very close to the skin. Read it that way and the base of Hawas Sapphire makes sense. Read it literally and you will wonder what you bought.

Why guava and blackcurrant work together

Pairing them in Hawas Sapphire is not decorative. Both fruits owe their character to sulphur-bearing aroma compounds rather than simple fruity esters. That is what gives each one its tart, almost green bite underneath the sweetness.

Put them side by side at the top and they reinforce each other instead of competing. That is why the opening reads sharp and juicy rather than like fruit squash. It is the most deliberate decision in the composition.

Who Hawas Sapphire suits

Hawas Sapphire suits anyone who likes the Hawas idea but finds the original too aquatic. This one swaps the sea-spray freshness for fruit, keeping the clean musky finish that made the line sell.

It reads unisex in the real sense rather than the marketing sense. The fruit-over-tonka shape makes it a daytime and warm-weather fragrance more than an evening one.

Hawas Sapphire also works as a first Rasasi for someone who finds Gulf perfumery intimidating. There is no oud in it, nothing resinous, and nothing that announces itself across a room. That makes it wearable to an office or a lunch, which is not true of much that this house is known for.

If you want something heavy and dark, this is the wrong bottle.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about shipping, authenticity, and caring for your fragrance.

01 Is the FBFragrances Edition different from the regular one?
No. Same fragrance, same 100ml eau de parfum. The name reflects who Rasasi developed it with, not a change to what is in the bottle.
02 Is Hawas Sapphire for men or women?
Both. It is listed as unisex, and the fruity-floral opening over a clean base does not sit on either side of that line.
03 How is it different from the original Hawas?
The original is built around aquatic freshness. Sapphire replaces that with tart fruit, so they share a finish but open completely differently.
04 What else did Rasasi release in the Hawas line in 2026?
Hawas Venom, a spiced amber, and Hawas Pink, a sweet floral gourmand, arrived alongside it.
