Two perfumers handed the same fourteen notes can produce fragrances that smell related but never interchangeable, because proportion decides everything: how much cumin, how much vanilla, which grade of patchouli.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNote lists are marketing documents rather than formulas. Houses shorten them, rename materials, and leave synthetics out altogether.
